I stopped by on Friday night and selected a table near the dock on the river. My server was a most attentive Logan (he did a fine job of servicing my table). I ordered Cajun Salmon with steamed vegetables and a salad. The salad was very good, the steamed vegetables were great, and the cajun salmon was perfect. The dining area is covered for inclement weather, but there are still a few tables next to the river that offer complete open-air dining. The bar area inside has a couple TVs, a few tables and lots of stools with a great view of the river. There were a bunch of ducklings swimming near the docks, which provided great entertainment for a couple of children dining with their parents. Located near the Mount Clemens Farmer's Market, and a block away from Gibralter Trade Center North, they have plenty of parking for dining customers and people taking a cruise. Open dinner cruise June 6 & 7, 6:30 - 10pm, $45 per person. June 11 Murder Mystery Cruise, 6 - 9pm, $45 per person. Military discount 10% off food.

My employer took about 40 of us on a work cruise one summer evening and it was a real good time. It was open bar and buffet-style food, and the food was pretty good. The people working were nice for the most part and the scene during sunset is nothing but beautiful. It's definitely worth looking into for a larger-type gathering.

Unfortunate use of a unique setting. Outdoor seating on the "dock" of an old boat, should have been fun. Uncomfortable iron chairs on the deck. Food served in baskets, drinks in plastic cups. I expect wine at $7 per glass to be in a real glass! The food was overpriced and bland to the point of tasteless. The waitress was snippy and NOT interested in providing friendly service. We won't be back.

Aww! This place is cute and romantic-like. The Captain's Landing is actually a boat that is in a canal, that was converted into a restaurant. The place boasts a very "boat like atmosphere" since, in fact, it is a boat. Off the boat there is deck built that allows you to have a table RIGHT on the canal. I am talking like two feet over and you are in the water. The menu is basically what you would expect at a place like this, some seafood, burgers, some chicken entrees and pasta. The service was friendly and moved quick enough, the bar not as stocked as I would like...but my drink was stiff...so no complaining from me! I ordered the Salmon, charbroiled with veggies. I actually really liked my food and my portions were huge! I had a whole other fillet to take home. He ordered a featured dish of chicken and broccoli Alfredo, I tried it... naww... Alfredo was not as thick as I prefer and had a slight gritty texture. Regardless of my thoughts, he seemed fine and ended up with sauce all over his face, haha. More than the food I like being directly on the water and the fact that the restaurant is a low-key boat, just makes it that much more enjoying.

Every summer for the last few years we ALWAYS come to Captains Landing. The steak bites are REALLY GOOD! They also have a Children's menu. You can eat right next to the water and usually we always see fish swimming right up to the surface , looking for people to feed them. It's pretty cool, the kids really like it! They have boat outings also. We have never done it but when we do, I will update my review!

Our waitress told us she was stressed. She didn't seem to want to be at work and seemed annoyed to actually be serving us. We had to ask for drink refills. Before we finished our food, she brought us our bill and didn't even offer dessert. She barely came around while we were eating to check on us, but circled us more after she dropped off the bill. Horrible service!

Well I can't tell you how the food was I never got that far. We started at a table and never got any service, so we moved to the bar where the bar tender was to busy eating to bother with us. So we got up and left.
